Effective May 3, 2026 · Version 1.0

We believe privacy is a fundamental human right. With Watch Me, that right belongs to you — your data stays on your device, never on our servers.

The short version

Five things you should know.

  • 01

No account, signup, or login is ever required.

  • 02

No personal data is collected on our servers.

  • 03

No tracking, no analytics, no advertising.

  • 04

All your preferences are stored only on your device.

  • 05

No media content is hosted or distributed by us.

01 — SUMMARY

A generic media player. Nothing more.

Watch Me is a generic media player for iOS that lets users play their own M3U/M3U8 playlists, similar to VLC for Mobile or Infuse.

The app does not require an account, does not collect personal data, does not track you, does not use analytics, does not show ads, and does not host or distribute any media content.

02 — DATA WE DON'T COLLECT

What we don't see, we can't share.

Watch Me does not collect any personal data on our servers. Specifically:

  • Name, email, phone, address — or any identifying information.
  • Location data.
  • Contacts, photos, calendar, or other sensitive content from your device.
  • Usage analytics or crash reports.
  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA, IDFV).

This is also declared to Apple in the app's PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy manifest.

03 — DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

Your data lives where it belongs.

The following information is stored only locally on your device — never sent to our servers or any third party:

Your M3U playlist URL
The URL you provide, in iOS UserDefaults.
Your watchlists
Collections you create under "My Lists".
Continue Watching positions
Playback progress for movies and series.
Downloaded media files
Stored only in the app's sandboxed file system.
TMDb metadata cache
Disk cache of posters and descriptions.
App preferences
Language, theme, and player settings.

Removing the app from your device permanently deletes all of this data.

04 — THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Four services. All transparent.

TMDb · The Movie Database

Used to enrich movies and series with metadata (posters, summaries, cast). Query text reaches TMDb together with your IP address; queries do not contain personal identifiers.

themoviedb.org/privacy-policy →

Superwall

Manages the premium subscription paywall. An anonymous device identifier and subscription events are processed; no personal identifying information is collected.

superwall.com/privacy →

App Store · StoreKit

All subscription and purchase transactions are processed through Apple's StoreKit. Your payment information is handled by Apple — never by us.

Your own M3U provider

The M3U URL you use belongs to your own IPTV provider or personal media server. Streams play directly from that server — never through our infrastructure. We recommend reviewing your provider's own privacy policy.

05 — CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Not directed to children.

Watch Me is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13.

06 — DATA SECURITY

Encrypted by default.

Data stored on your device is protected by iOS's built-in security mechanisms — app sandboxing and file-system encryption. When your device is locked with a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID, this data is stored encrypted at rest.

07 — YOUR RIGHTS

GDPR. KVKK. Yours.

Under GDPR (EU) and KVKK (Türkiye), data subjects have certain rights. Because our app does not collect any personal data on our servers, there is no traditional data-subject relationship to act on. Even so:

  • Right to deletion. Removing the app permanently deletes all local data.
  • Right to information. For any questions, contact us via the channels below.

08 — CHANGES

If anything changes, we'll say so.

We may occasionally update this policy. The latest version will be published here with a new effective date. For significant changes, we may also display an in-app notice.
